WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM CONSIST OF?
Our program will consist of our unique combination of the natural movement system MovNat, Breathing Methods, NeuroMediation, and Natural Running. A powerful combination that covers fundamental aspects of a Healthy Lifestyle. In the end, the power of each method will accumulate into an understanding of the holistic approach to health and life.
Natural Movement (MovNat)
What is MovNat? MovNat is a physical education system. MovNat will let you explore your body’s innate capability of moving and adapting in and to the environment. We take you back to nature and show you how you need to move to adapt to the natural landscape. We will deepen your knowledge of the different skills such as crawling, balancing, walking, running, hanging, getting up from the ground, rolling. Check the video for more insights:
This was founded by Patrick McKeown. It focuses on two pillars. The first is “functional breathing patterns”, which teach you how to breathe better in your daily life, and the other is “breath-hold techniques” to simulate altitude training, improve performance and health. The impact better breathing can have on your life is vastly underrated by many, it is truly the most basic function. We will cover elements such as nasal breathing, abdominal breathing, strengthening of breathing muscles and improving the CO2 tolerance.
ARE WE GOING TO CHECK OUT THE NATURE AROUND US?
We will train and decompose the techniques in a controlled environment so that we can then test them in nature. The goal is for you to experience what is needed to move in raw nature. To teach you this, we will have one excursion in nature, where we go around into nature and do exactly that, we apply what we have learned.
WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD?
Three times a day, you will get pampered by Florian, our own Chef. We will offer you nutritious food allowing your body & mind to detox. Whether you like a vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diet or are into something else, we can accommodate your wishes to ensure you will have the fuel needed to rip the benefits the week will bring.
…AND THE PEOPLE?
Rejuvenate by meeting like-minded people, exchange ideas & make friendships for life. We noticed that many of the deep learning experiences come from small unexpected interactions between people, while hiking, or at the dinner table. But do not worry next to socializing you will have the time and space for reflection and integrating the experiences.
DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR THE RETREAT?
We assume you already lead an active lifestyle and are in decent shape. We recommend joining us for a preparation phase starting 4 weeks before the date of the retreat. We will have specific live sessions for your retreat and you will get access to our online courses. Being able to get to know our methods beforehand will allow you to optimize your learning curve and enjoy the experience that much more. If you are unsure, don’t hesitate to contact us.
What the days will look like
Our days will typically start with “breathing & meditation” followed by a MovNat session. Your well-deserved breakfast awaits you right after we finish the training. The morning then finishes with a small relaxation phase after breakfast, leading into the afternoon of MovNat training, lectures on different topics such as breathing mechanics, training theories, and the science behind our meditation practices. For lunch we will nourish you with a delicious meal covering all nutrition needs your body has.
Towards the end of the afternoon, we will hold our “Fire & Ice” session where you can enjoy stretching your comfort zone by dipping into our ice baths. Whirlpools and a sauna are readily available for you to hop into after these cold exposure sessions. A wonderful nutritious dinner and relaxed mingling will complete these perfect days. Then it is time for a well-deserved & soothing night’s sleep!
Excursion in nature:
On at least 1 day we will head out on adventure days where we go explore and expand our skills in nature. Zillertal gives an amazing opportunity to relax and move in nature. Breathe and move in the wild with the fresh air and the awesome environment.

NeuroMeditation Instructor L2 MovNat Certified Trainer L2 Natural Running Coach
I discovered a keen interest in natural lifestyle elements in 2010 with the continued quest to understand what it really means to be healthy for our body, our mind, and our spirit.
Even though I hold a degree in mechanical engineering, over the past decade I have delved into passions such as nutrition, breathwork, biohacking, and stress management. On my journey to cope with my corporate stress I discovered the power of meditation and dug deeper into the brain science behind it, now helping others as a NeuroMeditation Instructor to find a meditation practice that fits their needs
Wim Hof Instructor and MovNat Certified Trainer L2
I have always had an interest in learning more about what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. When I first started to experience panic attacks and anxiety 8 years ago I completely re-designed my life searching for balance. I first entered the realm of breathing practices training to become a Wim Hof instructor, together with my movement training, learning MovNat, and working Online with Jon Yuen and Ido Portal’s team I have been able to mix both disciplines to heal my body from 10 years of a corporate lifestyle. I keep on learning and deepening my knowledge so I can help others on their journeys.
MovNat Master Trainer L3. Primal Health Coach, Oxygen Advantage Trainer.
I’ve been doing sports all of my life thanks to my parent’s influence. I’ve done- ski, tennis, soccer, hiking, tree climbing. My first confrontation with real sports was at my orange belt in Shotokan Karate, where the Sensei let me pass so that I wouldn’t be too disappointed… This was the beginning, this was my kick in the ass to always give my best and be well prepared physically. Not knowing in which direction I should go I ended up studying sports, then archaeology, and finally a better way to move than Martial Arts, Natural Movement, or the method behind it: MovNat.This got my heart and my soul, everything I’ve done in my life converged and made sense. I feel very lucky I was found by MovNat, because if you have to look for your luck, you will not find it.
Event Chef and Caterer
I love to take care of the culinary needs of small and medium teams by providing nutritious, clever, colourful and tasty buffets. I prefer to work with the full power of nature and avoid processed industrial foods. The variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, roots, seeds, nuts and spices are an almost infinite playground.
Fortunately, I met the MovNat guys in 2020 and was able to manage the kitchen at their retreat in Austria, which is still one of my greatest experiences so far. I´m hungry for more…
1: I’ve never done something like this before, can I still do it?
Yes, you can! Exposing yourself to the cold and daily movement requires a willingness to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. If you have already understood that lifestyle has a huge impact on health, then you probably also already have a movement practice of your own and this retreat is for you. As long as you have the motivation to go deeper you will enjoy and grow.
Q2: Is there an option for warming up afterwards?
Yes, there is and we have some fun exercises to keep you warm.
Q3: What happens if I can’t get past my fears?
No need to worry, we will never push you to do anything. That said, the workshop opens a great possibility to face those fears with whatever small steps you need. Our bodies have ancestral mechanisms to deal with the cold and your body is not an exception!
Q4: Can I get a heart attack from the cold?
All the cold exposure is done gradually in a way that you are not put in danger.
Q5: Are there any long-lasting negative after-effects from the cold like frostbite.
The cold exposure is too short for it to have a long-lasting effect and we always keep an eye on everyone.
Q6: What language is the course held in?
All our trainers can speak German and English. Depending on the participant’s language it will be done either in English or German or both.
Q7: I have food allergies / don’t eat meat etc. Can you provide special food for me?
Yes, please let us know after your booking and we can arrange vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc…
“The time spent in Zillertal with these guys was truly unique and transformative. I have been to many retreats, from Eckhart Tolle to Joe Dispenza, and the time with MovNat was the first time every part of your being was touched. The natural movement work feels like playing like you get to be a child again, the breathwork with Andres takes you to another world and creates an indescribable high, the cold exposure makes you realize you can overcome just about anything purely with focus, and finally, the meditations lovingly led by Marbod allow even the wildest monkey mind to come down and relax and maybe even travel to different dimensions. These pillars of the retreat are interwoven with delicious and healthy food, real conversations with these guys or other retreaters and a lot of fun between saunas, hot tubs and the beautiful scenery. This is the most authentic and real experience you will have. Amazing. Thank you all.” – Lisa
“Amazing food, great talks and my personal highlight: taking the practice from a safe environment and focus on skill development into the real world setting of climbing a wild creek upstream, something I would not have done on my own and providing me with a challenging but fantastic new experience. Thank you!!”
